Have You Watched
Any Good Movies Lately?

Do you like to watch movies? Do you like to read? If you answer yes to one or both of these questions, then you are in luck! This resource is dedicated to you, the teen, who is interested in watching movies and/ or love to read. Either way you'll love what this resource has to offer!

Audience
Teens interested in the latest book being turned into a movie or what to read next!

Purpose
Movies are fascinating because of the action, adventure, drama, and storylines that hook you in. Books can also have the same effect. As a teen you probably go to many movies because sometimes that is the only thing to do on a Friday or Saturday night with your friends. Do you ever wonder if the movie you are watching was ever a book and if so how can you find it? This is where you can find that information!

Criteria for selection
It was very difficult to determine what to select when it came to books and movies. First, I started with general categories such as, classics, comics, and popular. I wanted a wide appeal for both teen girls and boys. The classics were hard to select because so many of them have been made into movies, so I selected the books and movies that would be of interest to you, the teen. The comics were selected based on the movies that have come out since Spider-man. They are still fresh and have special effects that will draw you in. The popular category is based on movies that have recently come out within the past year. I envision this link to be continually up dated with the newest movies coming out that had books previously written. I did not include movies that are cartooned based, such as Disney animated. Since not too many of you teens are fond of them because they are considered for "little kids." The only exception was The Tale of Desperaux because the reviews I read stated that an older audience would be better able to understand the story line. It even won a Newbery Award!
